Can I work on a business visa?
No. A business visa permits meetings, negotiations and market visits — not remunerated work. Working requires a work authorisation and the corresponding visa or residence status.
How long does a work permit take?
Typically four to ten weeks depending on category, province and whether your qualifications require legalisation and sworn translation. Document preparation, not processing, is usually the bottleneck.
