What makes it special
The archipelago is a marine national park with sand dunes rising above turquoise channels, resident dugongs, manta rays and reef systems that see a fraction of the traffic of comparable Indian Ocean destinations.
Getting there
Fly to Vilankulo via Maputo or Johannesburg, then transfer by speedboat, dhow or helicopter. Lodges range from barefoot-luxury to genuinely high-end, and most operate on full-board terms.

May to October offers dry, cooler weather and the best visibility. December to March is hotter with a higher chance of rain.
Can it be combined with a safari?
Yes. Kruger or Gorongosa followed by Bazaruto is the classic bush-and-beach combination, and we can plan the routing.
