Your first two weeks
NUIT, personal bank account, local SIM, utility transfers and a driving arrangement, in roughly that order. Each depends on the one before, which is why doing them out of sequence stalls.

Domestic workers are covered by Mozambican labour law, including written contracts, minimum wage, leave and social security. We prepare compliant contracts so an informal arrangement does not become a dispute.
Frequently asked questions
Can I drive on my foreign licence?
Short-term visitors generally can, subject to conditions. Residents are expected to convert or obtain a Mozambican licence, and we handle the process.
How reliable is power and internet?
Urban supply is reasonable but interruptions occur. Most expatriate households run a generator or inverter and a backup data connection.
